Arnold-Chiari Malformation and Syringomelia

Arnold-Chiari Malformation and Syringomelia
Arnold-Chiari Malformation, or simply Chiari Malformation is a structural defect of the cerebellum in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal. Chiari malformations tend to be caused by structural defects in the brain and spinal cord, which tend to occur during fetal development. This malformation has a tendency to affect females more than males.  Symptoms of Arnold-Chiari Malformation include dizziness, muscle weakness, numbness, vision problems, extreme headaches and head pressure and problems with balance and coordination
Medical Cannabis and Arnold-Chiari Malformation
Cannabis acts as a natural analgesic in the body and also acts as a powerful sleep aid. Cannabis can help reduce headaches and cranial pressure by slowing the flow of cerebrospinal fluid.  Heavier indica strains can be great for muscle pain, weakness headaches and sleep as well as helping control muscle spasms, tension, stress, anxiety, and general neuropathy while sativa-dominant strains work best to reduce nausea, depression, and increase muscle capability.
